How long do most train before the become Jedi apprentices and then Jedi knights?

Typically younglings are taken at birth to the Jedi Temple where they live, learn, and play, until they are taken under the wing of a full-fledged Jedi. This usually lasts about 7 to 13 years. If not chosen by a Jedi Knight or Master by 13, they would be sent to the Jedi Service Corps.
Initiates who were chosen however, would become padawans for as many years as it took for them to pass the Jedi Trials. Usually this was by the padawan’s early to mid twenties, until they became Jedi Knights. Hope that was helpful :D
